Tourist village “Vuglec Breg” is result of creativity and romantic vision of Vuglec family who wanted to transform the inheritance of their ancestors old Vuglec family to eternal value. The main idea was to create unique ambient for excellent atmosphere and total delight in natural area of Hrvatsko zagorje and which was accomplished by combining the tradition of Zagorje area with modern tourist standards. Magic and romantic Vuglec Breg together with caring and pleasant staff will offer you chance to spend unforgettable moments.

There are 4 traditional Zagorje houses at “Vuglec Breg” which are renovated following traditional spirit however they are equipped according to all requests and standards of modern tourism. Each house is renovated and equipped very carefully. Outside parts as well as surroundings are renovated in traditional way which gives to village sprit from old times. The inside of house is unique, simple and according to today’s needs and comfort and each one of them has its special story from past in that manner they were named after its former owners.

Old Zagorje “hiža” (house) renovated and rebuilt. Located on hill above others it looks like manor house. It consist of 2 separate apartments each has 70m2 with 6 beds respectively. For additional romantic experience besides specially designed furniture each apartment has fire place on woods. Double room 2 floor apartment. Ground floor: corridor, toilet and living room.

House Lac The whole house is one apartment that consists of two rooms and bathroom, with 4 beds. The traditional looks rustic interior and old Zagorje oven create fairy tale atmosphere. House for 2 persons. Bedroom, living room bathroom corridor Original, rustic bread oven in living room.

House Mica Old wooden house located on stone foundation has only one 2 bed room with bathroom and terrace. Special architectonic form and interior in old fashioned rustic style create adjective “romantic” to house. House for 2 persons with Terrace, Internet connection, LCD, TV and Satellite TV, Modernly equipped bathroom.

House Jana Represents spirit of old times when it was firstly built. The rustic style in combination of wood and rough uneven front gives to house unique looks of “beauty from the old times”. It consists of 6 luxurious 2 bed rooms. 4 two bed rooms with bathroom on ground floor have wooden terraces faced to the southeast.
On floor are 2 spacious double rooms with bathroom.

We also offer different features for sports, recreation and entertainment besides relaxation and gastronomic delights at “Vuglec Breg”. Numerous paths and ways for walks or longer, interesting hikes. Same paths and ways could serve for the bike ride (10 bikes for rent). 2 sport terrains with artificial grass and lights for tennis, five-a-side football, badminton, volleyball etc.

Small playground and pony that will make our youngest guests happy. Very near to Vuglec Breg there are some lakes for sport fishing. A stable with horses for recreational riding is also being built. Vineyard, with its beauty, additionally enriches natural and domestic atmosphere of the whole Vuglec Breg.

You could experience the magnificent gastronomic event in the cozy atmosphere of our restaurant “Pri Kleti”. Original interior in the traditional Zagorje style, open fire place and terrace with the straw roof provide the warm atmosphere and a special domestic feeling. Already forgotten, old receipts of “grandmother’s dishes” have risen again in kitchen and tables of our restaurant.
